Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Inazuma Japan's Antônio Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rui Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Inazuma Japan's Antônio Aguiar in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Inazuma Japan from getting a goal against them. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Zé Vieira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Vieira, 1-0. In the 23rd minute of the game Amadeu Pontes made a throw-in which Rui Silva played forward. The supporters of Inazuma Japan booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Montenegro in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Aguiar in the 36th minute of play. Francisco Seco hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes, Amadeu Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inazuma Japan and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Inazuma Japan's Amadeu Pontes got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Maximiliano Escribano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zé Vieira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
51 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Vieira having to interfere. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Beldad in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the Inazuma Japan defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Vieira. The Inazuma Japan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Vieira should have stopped the shot. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 80 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Camilo Franco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Aguiar in the 91st minute of the match. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Antônio Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inazuma Japan. Uruguay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
