Aquilino Porfirio made a great header on Real Vencedor FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Hotz in the 27th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Hitzeder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Real Vencedor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vladimiro Hitzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Doga in the 54th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Hotz in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Vladimiro Hitzeder in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Doga in the 65th minute of the match. Aquilino Porfirio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Doga in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Dumitru Doga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Real Vencedor FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aquilino Porfirio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Hotz, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Real Vencedor FC made a substitution. Honorato Brais replaced Ricardo Hotz. After 86 played minutes Real Vencedor FC got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Intxixu. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Hitzeder having to interfere. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Aquilino Porfirio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ecuador's Julio Vera didn't even have to move. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
