Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Venancio Brion started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute of the match Devoto club social got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Harri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Venancio Brion was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Devoto club social's Victoriano Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes Devoto club social's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Victoriano Horado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Victoriano Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Devoto club social was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Harri to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Devoto club social's Emanuel Gartzen. But to his dismay, Emanuel Gartzen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcial Valerio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Gartzen in the 30th minute. Venezuela's attentive Jose Correa managed to snatch the ball when Victor Harri made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Devoto club social's goalkeeper Victoriano Horado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Devoto club social booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Emanuel Gartzen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Devoto club social's Emanuel Gartzen got a free kick in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Gartzen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. Victor Harri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Horado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Eleuterio Tximitx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Gartzen came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoriano Horado didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Venancio Brion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Devoto club social made a substitution. Paulo Beti replaced Lara Croft. After 96 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Valerio in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Devoto club social were the better team. Devoto club social's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
