The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. With his leg Octavian Soare managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when USA's Cassius Byrne fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 6 in the game by Cassius Byrne from a close distance when the talented Octavian Soare managed to make a qualified save. Galati Harbour Cats's players were relieved. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galati Harbour Cats's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Diego Bradley made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare managed to reach the ball for a save. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Octavian Soare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 26th minute of play. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ianis Man in the 27th minute of play. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 31st minute of the match. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Monty Rogers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Fabian Brown was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galati Harbour Cats the free kick. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Petrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Marco Day in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galati Harbour Cats's Octavian Soare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, USA's Monty Rogers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Soare made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. In the 66th minute of the match Monty Rogers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavian Soare showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 71st minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of USA booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Zdrobiş didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Soare was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice moves Ianis Man could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 82nd minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 83rd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jacob May. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. After a defensive mix-up in USA's zone, Ianis Man stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Day came out of the goal and Ianis Man tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Sam Campbell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Octavian Soare was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Baker in the 96th minute of play. USA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
