Feliciano Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 16th minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Ayala having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Feliciano Ayala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Feliciano Ayala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danilo Seber was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Danilo Seber sped through Mexico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. Amado Corderall charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amado Corderall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amado Corderall hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Santos de Buenos Aires FC made a substitution. Bruno Cambiasso replaced Hipolito Rozarius. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Seber, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 88th minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliciano Ayala. Feliciano Ayala yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute Santos de Buenos Aires FC were awarded a corner. Matias Remir went to the cornerflag to take it. 98 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio James came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico played a much better game than Santos de Buenos Aires FC and deserved their victory. The Santos de Buenos Aires FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
