The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Otsoko Balmaceda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 9 minutes into the game, Lech Max's Otsoko Balmaceda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lech Max the free kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gwidon Dubilas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gwidon Dubilas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Otsoko Balmaceda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Lech Max's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Gwidon Dubilas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otsoko Balmaceda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Lech Max getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Otsoko Balmaceda hit a great ball. Lech Max's Gwidon Dubilas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 47th minute of play.

Gwidon Dubilas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Lech Max's goalkeeper Gwidon Dubilas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Gwidon Dubilas in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Leonardo Leoz got a free kick in the 65th minute. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Otsoko Balmaceda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Gwidon Dubilas in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the game, Luca Rouco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Mexico booed when Lech Max was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otsoko Balmaceda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Otsoko Balmaceda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gwidon Dubilas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Otsoko Balmaceda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
