Tapani Walker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavi Orange in the 22nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Xavi Orange who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Isaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ⚽️ THE WALKERS ⚽️'s Cipriano Belo got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Xavi Orange ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Tapani Walker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Saelices went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 37 minutes, Xavi Orange managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ⚽️ THE WALKERS ⚽️'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavi Orange was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Luis Andino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tapani Walker. That made the score 2-3 after 75 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Everardo Birjaio during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Everardo Birjaio hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tapani Walker. Luis Andino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. In the 94th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador played a much better game than ⚽️ THE WALKERS ⚽️ and deserved their victory. The ⚽️ THE WALKERS ⚽️ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
