Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Banan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the referee blew the final whistle, Victoria Mlawa could leave the field as winners, despite Venezuela having more of the ball for most of the match.
