Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Prospero Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Abadia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Prospero Abadia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Diego Banegas fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de América's protests and gave Diego Banegas a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Banegas hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Prospero Abadia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de América's Diego Banegas got a free kick in the 31st minute. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Banegas to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prospero Abadia having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Ekialde made a kick off. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Prospero Abadia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Prospero Abadia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Prospero Abadia came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospero Abadia stood somewhat misplaced when Mariano Lacasa came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 72 minute. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de América defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Abadia. The Estudiantes de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Abadia should have stopped the shot. After having played for 79 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prospero Abadia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Abadia. Estudiantes de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. 94 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prospero Abadia. Estudiantes de América's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12.
