Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Zhelyazko Yazadzhiev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eliseo Noboa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Anko Stoykovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes of play, Сакарско орехче's Miho Pogonchev made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anko Stoykovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Miho Pogonchev made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miho Pogonchev in the 51st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
