With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Lucjan Rakowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Vormsi Vald's Villem Ärsis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Ponce in the 21st minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Evaristo Truylos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carolo Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Villem Ärsis. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Villem Ärsis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villem Ärsis in the 53rd minute of play. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vormsi Vald's goalkeeper Evaristo Truylos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Ponce in the 73rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toomas Lasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Vormsi Vald's Heiki Krooli was substituted for Antti Külaots. Vormsi Vald's Sven Viilma was substituted for Mattias Vennerberg.
