Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho González breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan-Pablo Leyarte kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Amin Kurd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulizes Sola, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulizes Sola in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jiang Hui Guang hit a great ball. Nacho González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulizes Sola in the 29th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Alguacil in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nacho González prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amin Kurd kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Nacho González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho González came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ulizes Sola tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 71 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tomas Berganza got free in front of the goal in the 74th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Nacho González was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Hui Guang. Abraham Alguacil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Cotilla was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Mattias Svan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mattias Svan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Nacho González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 95th minute of the match. Astillero del Guayas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
