FK Mazda Svidník's attentive Boran Sarih managed to snatch the ball when Macos Graciani made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Mazda Svidník's Stanislav Saktor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanislav Saktor. FK Mazda Svidník's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FK Mazda Svidník were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Qi Xuan Si took the corner. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Stanislav Saktor made a huge save. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Stanislav Saktor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Stanislav Saktor threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Mexico's Alberto Tafalla getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 65th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in FK Mazda Svidník's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislav Saktor came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FK Mazda Svidník's Artur Peixoto was substituted for Qi Xuan Si. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Golo Strojek went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FK Mazda Svidník's Tomáš Jašo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Strojek in the 90th minute of play. Golo Strojek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The FK Mazda Svidník fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
