With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Res Non Verba's Gabirel Chapital fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Mingo Camporredondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mingo Camporredondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 played minutes Res Non Verba got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Wietrzychowski. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Res Non Verba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After 30 played minutes Res Non Verba got a freekick which was hit by Gabirel Chapital. After 34 played minutes Res Non Verba got a freekick which was hit by Bernard Soroka. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Cornel Drâmba notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Res Non Verba's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mingo Camporredondo came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Res Non Verba getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cornel Drâmba hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabirel Chapital, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Mingo Camporredondo however easily saved by the left post. Stanislaw Wietrzychowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mingo Camporredondo. Mingo Camporredondo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3.
