The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Borubar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goalkeeper Artur Borubar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Pruss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Piotr Kociniewski went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 25 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 26th minute of the match Lucjan Golaszewski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Rothenburg SSA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rothenburg SSA's Leonard Kojder got a free kick in the 30th minute. The Rothenburg SSA fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Rothenburg SSA's Piotr Kociniewski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Pruss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur Borubar. That made the score 1-3 after 40 minutes of play. The supporters of Rothenburg SSA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kajetan Pruss came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Rothenburg SSA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kajetan Pruss couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piotr Kociniewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Kajetan Pruss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kajetan Pruss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 59 played minutes Rothenburg SSA got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Golaszewski. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kajetan Pruss showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 61 minute of play. When Rothenburg SSA's Kajetan Pruss in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Szczepan Zielinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radoslaw Michalski in the 70th minute of the match. Zbyszek Werra hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Borubar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Rothenburg SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Artur Borubar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Imbor in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Zbyszek Werra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Zbyszek Werra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rothenburg SSA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
