An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Maximino Ticho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Cebula in the 17th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in A.C. Patagonia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 24th minute of play forced A.C. A sloppy throw-in by Demy Vennegoor in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. In the 37th minute Dariusz Wos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Ticho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Rui Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. A hard shot by Rui Costa from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Rolando Noboa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dariusz Wos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximino Ticho. That made the score 1-4 after 54 minutes of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Wassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Horea Boian replaced Ludwig Wassenius. A.C. Patagonia's Sylwester Sroka was substituted for Marcin Cebula. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horea Boian in the 68th minute of play. Maximino Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A.C. Patagonia's goalie and right to Alonso Berganza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A.C. Patagonia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Damian Pluciennik lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of A.C. Patagonia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peru:s goal. Luz Tejedor placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Aldo Di Carlo scored 3-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Di Carlo in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A.C. Patagonia's Maximino Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Gallo in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
