Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo de Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Galsino in the 18th minute of play. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo de Amorim made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's goalkeeper Hugo de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Serafino Nafarroa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Nafarroa in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Millano Almandoz sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After a defensive mix-up in Mosqueteiros 4EVER's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo de Amorim came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Mosqueteiros 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
