Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Pieprz in the 53rd minute of the match. Azim Onatsu scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jupiter Siemiatycze's Witold Jaroszewicz was substituted for Innar Vismann. Joel Gaona scored 1-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dobromir Klawki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dobromir Klawki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dobromir Klawki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
