Haiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Alphonse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but Gilberto Aztore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Israel Torres in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Ernso Constant. Gilberto Aztore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 82nd minute of the match.
