The Brujas KV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Marin should have stopped the shot. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rios in the 39th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Eliseo Mina made a precise shot to the right of Inge Marin. Brujas KV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The throw-in from Apolo Abancens in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 97th minute, Peru's Antonio Tenorio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Inge Marin. Inge Marin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The Brujas KV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
