Pavlos Konstantakakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Gianni Balla came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamburg Fighters were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wieslaw Obuchowicz took the corner. The corner led to Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 12th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinu Bocu in the 17th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Figueroa. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Leandros Hölsch got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianni Balla in the 29th minute of play. Hamburg Fighters's Wieslaw Obuchowicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Xavier Figueroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavlos Konstantakakis having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. 52 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dinu Bocu's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Bocu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavlos Konstantakakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinu Bocu in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chile's goalie prevented a goal. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianluca Balla in the 68th minute of the match. The Hamburg Fighters fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. But to his dismay, Gianni Balla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 78th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Bocu went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Balla in the 84th minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the game, Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Pavlos Konstantakakis in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pavlos Konstantakakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Pavlos Konstantakakis made a huge save. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Hamburg Fighters from getting a goal against them. Hamburg Fighters's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
