Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when James Retes got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 5th minute of play forced INGOBERNABLE F.C's goalkeeper José Francisco Cevallos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a INGOBERNABLE F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. With his leg José Francisco Cevallos managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clemente Esteban made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Francisco Cevallos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
