Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Jakes Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jakes Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 39th minute Jakes Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Litago in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 91st match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. 忠 杨浩剑 didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
