The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of G.R.:s goal. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by G.R.'s Eliya Tabachnik. But to his dismay, Eliya Tabachnik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, 袁昂宁 made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliya Tabachnik, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Jamar Vang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamar Vang in the 22nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 袁昂宁 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 袁昂宁 in the 31st minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 袁昂宁, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yefet Bar-Zohar in the 32nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes G.R. got a freekick which was hit by Yashawn Kronfield. Matheus Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 44th minute of the match. The corner led Costa Rica's Axel Tasis to fire away a dangerous shot which Matheus Toscano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliya Tabachnik was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamar Vang in the 54th minute of the match. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, G.R.'s Yehoshua Kolai got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes G.R. got a freekick which was hit by Snir Nachum. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Guguh Saepuloh tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes in the game, 袁昂宁 fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Jamar Vang made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Jamar Vang reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 0-5. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliya Tabachnik in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded G.R. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
