A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Octavian Isărescu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mihail Albu in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 12 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. Radu Pânzaru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of BlueLionesse booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Nicodim in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristinel Nicodim in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilie Crainic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Cristinel Nicodim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BlueLionesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Nicodim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mihail Albu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Isărescu in the 33rd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Nicodim in the 36th minute of play. Mădălin Botgros hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Isărescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 52nd minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Crainic was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 57th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Mădălin Botgros with Mădălin Botgros as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cristinel Nicodim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 90th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Radu Pânzaru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BlueLionesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radu Pânzaru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristinel Nicodim's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BlueLionesse were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
