Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Fonso Zotillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Capixaba in the 4th minute of play. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 4thth minute grab hold of the ball when Severino Capixaba from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fonso Zotillo having to make a save. In the 11th minute Antonio Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fonso Zotillo came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fonso Zotillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo. Fonso Zotillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fonso Zotillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. After 27 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Teles. 28 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of XV de Piracicaba's Fonso Zotillo. Fonso Zotillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fonso Zotillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Jurdan was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, XV de Piracicaba's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 54th minute Severino Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Montoia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Fonso Zotillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Fonso Zotillo made a huge save. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fonso Zotillo came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 71st minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Fonso Zotillo. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 93rd minute, which Fonso Zotillo however easily saved by the left post. In the 95th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than XV de Piracicaba throughout the match.
