Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tomas Berganza made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Åsnes's Christer Waaler got control of the ball when Abraham Alguacil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 6th minute. A nice corner shot did that Abraham Alguacil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christer Waaler quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. John-Einar Bøen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christer Waaler skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute, Dan Ødegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christer Waaler. The goal made the score 1-0. Isidoro Sarmiento scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Waaler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Ødegaard in the 21st minute of the match. Rune Gjessing took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With an all-out effort, Panama's Christer Waaler threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Christer Waaler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 33rd minute. When Martin Rustad fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Martin Rustad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Rustad to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 39th minute of play. Åsnes's Christer Waaler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Åsnes from getting a goal against them. Aaron Barrios charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Barrios the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Gjessing in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 58th minute of play. Alex Cambeiro's late challenge caught a Åsnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Cambeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Dan Ødegaard. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Panama booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Ånestad didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Felipe Ros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsnes the free kick. In the 77th minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Gjessing. In the 85th minute, Alex Cambeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristian Sandersen who took care of the corner kick. In the 89th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Leidland to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 90th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Morten Hestad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åsnes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morten Hestad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
