GynBsb's Válter Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Faria during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. GynBsb's Válter Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Válter Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Válter Rodrigues. GynBsb's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Wágner Baiano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Válter Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 33 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in GynBsb's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Rodrigues came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita scored 0-10 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Válter Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 70 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válter Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 73 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Válter Rodrigues didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. 0-13 became the score in the 86th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Válter Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador.
