The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Rubio got free with Marco Day in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nemesio Rubio was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of USA booed when FC LEMUREN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Kalak didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Monty Rogers almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC LEMUREN's Wilton Cruz did a great save. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Monty Rogers sped through FC LEMUREN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilton Cruz. Cassius Byrne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilton Cruz firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 71 minutes of play, FC LEMUREN's Nemesio Rubio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nemesio Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. 80 minutes into the game, FC LEMUREN's Mickael Volens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After a rather tough play, FC LEMUREN's Robert Kalak got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nemesio Rubio in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
