Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Nicklas Karlsson made the kick off and thus started the match. The COSMOS fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when COSMOS's Nicklas Karlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nicklas Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Ryszard Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot. COSMOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryszard Cempa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Verduin in the 19th minute of play. COSMOS were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Curacao's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomasz Mroczynski took the corner. Tomasz Mroczynski made a great header on COSMOS's corner, it was just that Curacao's Bruno Barrett managed to reach the ball for a save. The COSMOS fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when COSMOS's Nicklas Karlsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicklas Karlsson in the 28th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Isaac Verduin made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. 32 minutes into the game, COSMOS's Nicklas Karlsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Verduin in the 36th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Isaac Verduin put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. After the first half COSMOS were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

COSMOS made a substitution. Zenon Kuszczak replaced Napoleon Skorny. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Davies stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicklas Karlsson in the 56th minute of the match. Azli Lim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ryszard Cempa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicklas Karlsson in the 60th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryszard Cempa went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Juskowiak in the 73rd minute of play. COSMOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomasz Mroczynski in the 75th minute. Bertie Johnson tried in the 75th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Bruno Barrett a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-10. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Andrzej Juskowiak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Andrzej Juskowiak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zenon Kuszczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of COSMOS booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Isaac Verduin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The COSMOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Andrzej Juskowiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Azli Lim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrzej Juskowiak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Barrett. That made the score 0-12 in the 93 minute of play. If Andrzej Juskowiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. COSMOS played a much better game than Curacao and deserved their victory. The Curacao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
