Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Cláudio Santiago hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Diegues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeferino Diegues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Magno Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Magno Aparecido made the kick off in the second half. Zeferino Diegues acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emmanuel Reyes. Luz Tejedor scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeferino Diegues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luz Tejedor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeferino Diegues having to make a save. Alberto Paez lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 95 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Paez. Zeferino Diegues made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Emmanuel Reyes sent off a good shot on target.
