Sune Rudberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Tafalla's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Sune Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Benito Laurin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dante Lacasa, passed just outside the right post. Sune Rudberg came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vito Amorim hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcell Pécsi to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Paraense during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Leonardo Leoz could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Sune Rudberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 57th minute Marcell Pécsi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Marcell Pécsi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oséas Silva's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Silva helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Sune Rudberg had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcell Pécsi in the 70th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Sune Rudberg made a huge save. Sune Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 80th minute of play. Rüknettin Aysan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Sune Rudberg in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Sune Rudberg made a huge save.
