After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Iker Tafalla put in a rough tackle. 54 minutes into the game, one of Paraguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darin Mankov went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Miho Pogonchev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miho Pogonchev in the 77th minute of the match. Stayko Milevski made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Сакарско орехче was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimcho Perchemliev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vencho Zlatarev made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Anko Stoykovski however managed to control. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Paraguay had held the ball for most of the match.
