In the 4th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Quinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdurrezzak Tankut got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidoro Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Quinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Abdurrezzak Tankut scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oscar Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdurrezzak Tankut. Oscar Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Isidoro Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Quinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Barcelona booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dylan Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Veronica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Quinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mincho Moracia kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Oscar Quinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Panama booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Quinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 57th minute of the match. Panama's Abraham Alguacil got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oscar Quinto. Isidoro Sarmiento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Zacarias Thomas hit a great ball. FC Barcelona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Miguel Miralles scored to the left of an out of position Oscar Quinto, making the score, 1-3. Andres Arnalt lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Barcelona! The goalkeeper, Oscar Quinto, was totally fooled by Panama's Abraham Alguacil, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Oscar Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Panama played a much better game than FC Barcelona and deserved their victory. The FC Barcelona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
