An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play forced POLI TIMISOARA's goalkeeper Mihai Domuță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mei Yi Xi in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosmin Harbuz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Mihai Domuță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Mei Yi Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihai Domuță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Mei Yi Xi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as POLI TIMISOARA's Nicu Nichitelea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarbas Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute.
