In the 5th minute of the match Peru got a corner. SK Monkey Business's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rusty Atkin quite easily take care of the ball. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rusty Atkin having to interfere. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rusty Atkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Monkey Business's Rusty Atkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Rauno Sappinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when SK Monkey Business was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meelis Loide didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ailar Traks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Rauno Sappinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rauno Sappinen in the 87th minute of play. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rusty Atkin having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. When Antonio Tenorio came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Tenorio couldn't finish the play.
