Pretoria Gostyń's Maciej Karanowski quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 15th minute of the game. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Tomás Clodio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aureliusz Komornicki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Tomás Clodio sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Mariano in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pretoria Gostyń's Beniamin Makarewicz. 43 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pretoria Gostyń the free kick. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Tomas Illescas took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Sylwester Chazon to make any attempt to save it. In the 55th minute, Beniamin Makarewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Tomas Illescas in the 56th minute really tested Sylwester Chazon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 67th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Pretoria Gostyń got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Kuszczak. In the 72nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Pretoria Gostyń's Lionel-Andrés Messi in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Pretoria Gostyń booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lionel-Andrés Messi's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Jonathan Ferrant on his right side and into the goal. 84 minutes into the game it was 4-1. Lionel-Andrés Messi hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Venezuela's Patricio Costa in the 94th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sylwester Chazon was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pretoria Gostyń through an amazing save. When the referee ended the match the Pretoria Gostyń players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
