Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ercole Marcon made the kick off which started today's match. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Alexander Tomasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Marcon, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Axel Tasis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Van Goof the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 11th minute. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Marcon went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Atletico Van Goof fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Atletico Van Goof's Safy Belfaa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute, Felice Piano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ercole Marcon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Filippo Festa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Atletico Van Goof's Alberto Di Placido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Van Goof's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Di Placido came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Ercole Marcon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Daniele Di Croce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Atletico Van Goof got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Marcon. After 59 played minutes Atletico Van Goof got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Bonfigli. After 60 played minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Di Placido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. Ercole Marcon had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ercole Marcon in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 78 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Atletico Van Goof's Alberto Di Placido. Alberto Di Placido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alberto Di Placido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Di Placido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Alcocer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 89 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Atletico Van Goof's Ercole Marcon in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute, Atletico Van Goof's Safy Belfaa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Atletico Van Goof's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
