In the 4th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Vennersten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Vennersten. Honkens Bengaler BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. William Vennersten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Vennersten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Honkens Bengaler BK's William Vennersten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Knut Tingelholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Tingelholm in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Witkowski came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Vennersten. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Fred Stigsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Jon Hökqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Honkens Bengaler BK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Wilian Cardozo hit a great ball. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Honkens Bengaler BK's Karl-Oskar Carlsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 46th minute, Jiang Zhen Chuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Oskar Carlsson made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Honkens Bengaler BK got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jiang Zhen Chuan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jiang Zhen Chuan made a great header on Honkens Bengaler BK's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Oskar Carlsson in the 57th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Joel Gaona hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Mexico's William Vennersten threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honkens Bengaler BK made a substitution. Wladyslaw Ewertowski replaced Jacek Ziemniak. After 71 played minutes Honkens Bengaler BK got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Zhen Chuan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Oskar Carlsson in the 75th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. William Vennersten came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Tafalla slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 79th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Tingelholm in the 81st minute of the match. After 91 minutes Honkens Bengaler BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
