The audience was convinced that Salomon Almonte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ademar Leme was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salomon Almonte in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ademar Leme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Salomon Almonte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademar Leme. Jardim Botânico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salomon Almonte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salomon Almonte in the 31st minute of play forced Jardim Botânico's goalkeeper Ademar Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademar Leme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salomon Almonte's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Xosepe Servicial sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ademar Leme skillfully saved the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salomon Almonte to make the kick off. The Jardim Botânico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademar Leme should have stopped the shot. Jardim Botânico's Ademar Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Jardim Botânico from getting a goal against them. Salomon Almonte took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademar Leme. Ademar Leme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Salomon Almonte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Club Deportivo Logroño booed when Jardim Botânico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Logroño's Salomon Almonte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Leme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Deportivo Logroño's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
