Luis Gumaro made a great header on Olds School Pepo's corner, it was just that Whity Pool United's Angelo Melani managed to reach the ball for a save. Syd Ely could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jacinto Nicholas made a huge save. Olds School Pepo's Jacinto Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charis Vlastaras in the 69th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Whity Pool United's goalkeeper Angelo Melani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Stephen. Whity Pool United's Angelo Melani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Gervaso in the 80th minute of play. Olds School Pepo were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Whity Pool United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luis Gumaro took the corner. Whity Pool United's Stevie Moore managed to work through Olds School Pepo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Stevie Moore dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Angelo Melani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gervaso in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Juan Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Melani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Stevie Moore in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Olds School Pepo's Herminio Stephen.
