The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gale Laliberté to strike the kick off in the second half. Ave Silesia's Ryszard Dubilas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Ave Silesia from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Varennes's Lyman Peacock slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ryszard Dubilas. That made the score 0-4 after 55 minutes of play. The supporters of Ave Silesia booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arden Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ave Silesia's zone, Brenton Carrasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryszard Dubilas came out of the goal and Brenton Carrasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brenton Carrasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ryszard Dubilas made a huge save. Brenton Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Dubilas having to interfere. Ryszard Dubilas made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gale Laliberté sent off a good shot on target. After 78 played minutes Ave Silesia got a freekick which was hit by Zula Pilipiec. When Pierre Ramsey came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Varennes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pierre Ramsey couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Arden Turner made a precise shot to the right of Ryszard Dubilas. Ave Silesia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The Ave Silesia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Varennes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
