In the 9th minute Tomás Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11th play minutes Tomás Clodio shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomás Clodio took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sylwester Chazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sylwester Chazon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Sylwester Chazon. Pretoria Gostyń's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pretoria Gostyń booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pretoria Gostyń's Sylwester Chazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sylwester Chazon having to make a save. Sylwester Chazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Tomás Clodio sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Clodio made a kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute Lionel-Andrés Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pretoria Gostyń were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lionel-Andrés Messi took the corner. After 62 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. In the 64th minute of the match Lionel-Andrés Messi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pretoria Gostyń's Maciej Karanowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 67 minute of the game. Tomas Illescas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sylwester Chazon firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionel-Andrés Messi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 80th minute Tomás Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Pretoria Gostyń's Tomás Clodio. But to his dismay, Tomás Clodio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Pretoria Gostyń's Lionel-Andrés Messi. But to his dismay, Lionel-Andrés Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.
