Julian Murillo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rickard Lundgren sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of play forced Kingpins's goalkeeper Brendan Leblanc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc. Brendan Leblanc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rickard Lundgren to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brendan Leblanc. That made the score 3-3 in the 52 minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Lindstrøm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brendan Leblanc saved Kingpins from getting behind. Brendan Leblanc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of the match. The referee ignored Kingpins's protests and gave Armin Trabucco a yellow card for diving instead. Armin Trabucco kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The supporters of Peru booed when Kingpins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Trabucco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guo Ke Peng, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Peru's Antonio Tenorio made it 5-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendan Leblanc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
