In the 13th minute of the match, Rohan Watson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vitomir Vutov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vitomir Vutov had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rohan Watson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 15 minutes into the match, Efrain Fuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jax Williamson. Canada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Fuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Vitomir Vutov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rohan Watson in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Fuentes in the 23rd minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luka Harris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jax Williamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Fuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Rohan Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitomir Vutov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canada were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after FC Philotimo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Koby Wright took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 44th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Vitomir Vutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Philotimo's Vitomir Vutov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rohan Watson in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Fuentes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Luis Barbas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jax Williamson made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Aryakumara Snow sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes Canada's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonatan Strand who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Canada's goalie and right to Alejandro Chorache. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Canada's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. FC Philotimo made a substitution. Umea Caubilla replaced Aryakumara Snow. 68 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Theo Burton came free, but Vitomir Vutov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 70th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Vitomir Vutov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canada made a substitution. Prince Anderson replaced Carter George. Vitomir Vutov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 81st minute of the match. Umea Caubilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Jax Williamson made a huge save. In the 85th match minute, Canada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prince Anderson to maneuver through the defense. Vitomir Vutov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Burton in the 87th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Theo Burton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitomir Vutov was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Canada were awarded a corner. Jan Dixon went to the cornerflag to take it. Canada's Prince Anderson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vitomir Vutov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Canada's Jax Williamson got control of the ball when Umea Caubilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Umea Caubilla in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jax Williamson saved Canada from getting behind.
