With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 6 minutes O.T.E's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. In the 14th minute, Iosif Glossopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play forced O.T.E's goalkeeper Javier García to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Orlando Rivera 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Rivera in the 24th minute of play. O.T.E's Javier García played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Iosif Glossopoulos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Javier García showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alekos Roubakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 35 played minutes O.T.E got a freekick which was hit by Fotis Papadimas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thrasivoulos Stamatis during the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Rivera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Javier García showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Orlando Rivera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Javier García in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Javier García. The goal made the score 1-2. After 64 played minutes O.T.E got a freekick which was hit by Özen Baroğlu. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but O.T.E's Javier García did a great save. When Orlando Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the O.T.E fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Rivera couldn't finish the play. Javier García took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Javier García in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador played a much better game than O.T.E and deserved their victory. The O.T.E players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
