The supporters of Venezuela booed when F.C. BARCELONA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcial Puyol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Sandro Valladares scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, F.C. BARCELONA's Leonard Januszewski got a free kick in the 42nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Marcial Puyol in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Sandro Valladares made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Sandro Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, Sandro Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 60th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Marquez having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. BARCELONA's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Marquez came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urdin Leseduarte struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. BARCELONA. When F.C. BARCELONA's Sandro Valladares in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urdin Leseduarte in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Sandro Valladares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Sandro Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The supporters of F.C. BARCELONA booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Valladares in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Urdin Leseduarte came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Valladares took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. F.C. BARCELONA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
