Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After 13 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Mikael Johansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Johansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Visintin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the CRUSADERS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Tinglöf. CRUSADERS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Örtlund to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Örtlund in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Örtlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Patrik Örtlund put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After 81 played minutes CRUSADERS got a freekick which was hit by Alvar Bagge. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Tinglöf having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvar Bagge in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Patrik Örtlund struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRUSADERS. In the 94th minute, Alvar Bagge made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CRUSADERS had played much better football throughout.
