BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. After a rather tough play, BMB IMOVEIS SC's Régis Marinho got a free kick in the 6th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Donato Marques fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BMB IMOVEIS SC's protests and gave Donato Marques a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Luiz Vides made a kick off. Luca Espinar charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Espinar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sérgio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 96th minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, BMB IMOVEIS SC could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
