Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ernani Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Antunes having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Lauro Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capivara's goalkeeper Sérgio Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lauro Vergílio's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Capivara's Lauro Vergílio got a free kick in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sérgio Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Nascimento got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sérgio Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute of play. Ernani Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lautaro Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Capivara got a freekick which was hit by João Augusto Teixeira. Sérgio Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 30th minute of the match. Sebastian Villa scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Lauro Vergílio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Luca Espinar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. Capivara's Ernani Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ernani Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. Moisés de Andrade made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which João Augusto Teixeira however managed to control. In the 59th match minute, Capivara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 60th minute of play forced Capivara's goalkeeper Sérgio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ernani Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Sebastian Villa took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Sérgio Antunes to make any attempt to save it. When Christian Sancho fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Christian Sancho a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Sancho hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of Honduras booed when Capivara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Capivara's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Sérgio Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Villa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sérgio Antunes made a huge save. The supporters of Honduras booed when Capivara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Antunes. Capivara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Espiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 95 minutes, Ernani Nascimento made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
